We’re a group of language enthusiasts coming together to read and discuss books in Portuguese. Our goal is to create a space where language learners and native speakers can connect, share insights, and grow together through the joy of reading.
We are starting our journey by exploring the captivating world of children’s books, opening up delightful stories for all ages.

* Location: We’ll be meeting in-person at Pastelaria “Papa Fina”, Parede (Linha de Cascais). It’s 2 minutes away from the Train Station, at the heart of the charming village of Parede.
* Fee: €15 per person (prepaid upon confirmation).

This enchanting story is a children’s book written by the Portuguese Nobel laureate José Saramago. The story is about a boy who one day decides to leave his village to explore the surrounding nature.
You can purchase the book online through Wook or Fnac.
We’ll be discussing the characters and the plot of this enchanting story and the author which will be a valuable opportunity to enhance your Portuguese language skills. You can also read author’s biography at the end of the book. Upon your confirmation, we will send you our discussion topics and ideas..
